Anua Toner Pads Compared: Clear, Glow, Brightening and Hydrating Pads
Choose Heartleaf 77 Clear Pad when you want a pore-focused, lightly exfoliating pad; PDRN 100 Hyaluronic Acid Glow Pad when you prefer a five-minute hydration-and-glow mask; 8 Hyaluronic Acid Catechin Calming Pad when cooling hydration is the priority; and Niacinamide 5 TXA Brightening Pad when uneven-looking tone is the reason for adding a pad.
These are different treatment formats, not four versions of the same toner. Most routines need one pad route at a time. The brightening pad is included for comparison from Anua’s current official range, but it does not currently have an exact matched ProtoClinical PDP, price or inventory record, so it is not presented as a commercial recommendation here.
Anua toner pads should be selected by formula role, application method and overlap with the rest of the routine. A pre-soaked pad can replace a liquid toner for that session; it does not automatically need to sit underneath another toner, serum and exfoliant.
Quick selector by routine goal
Clear
Heartleaf 77 Clear Pad is the pore- and surface-refinement choice. Count it as an exfoliating step because Anua identifies PHA in the formula direction.
Glow
PDRN 100 Hyaluronic Acid Glow Pad is the saturated, dual-texture option for a short mask and makeup-prep hydration.
Hydrating
8 Hyaluronic Acid Catechin Calming Pad is the cooling, moisture-led option for selected areas or full-face wiping after a short mask.
Brightening
Niacinamide 5 TXA Brightening Pad is the current official tone-focused option. Verify the package and INCI because the official page’s marketing copy and displayed ingredient list are not fully aligned.
Anua toner pads compared
| Pad | Verified format | Main routine role | Official use pattern | ProtoClinical status at QA | Main overlap risk |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Heartleaf 77 Clear Pad | Oversized dual-sided pad; embossed and smooth sides | Pore-focused toning and light surface exfoliation | Wipe after cleansing; the smooth side can be used for a short hydration-focused press | Active · US$22.40 · 992 units | BHA/PHA toner, leave-on acid, retinoid or repeated friction |
| PDRN 100 Hyaluronic Acid Glow Pad | Dual-textured pad with a gel side and a plain side | Hydration, glow and quick mask use | Leave the gel side on for five minutes, then wipe with the plain side | Active · US$22.00 · 1,000 units | Hydrating toner, PDRN serum, mist and mask serving the same job |
| 8 Hyaluronic Acid Catechin Calming Pad | Essence-soaked pad used as toner pad or mini mask | Cooling hydration and comfort | Leave on selected areas for 10–20 minutes, then wipe gently | Active · US$21.00 · 100 units | Several hydrating essence layers without a distinct purpose |
| Niacinamide 5 TXA Brightening Pad | Half-moon pad positioned for targeted mini-mask use | Uneven-looking tone and hydration | Leave on areas of concern for 10–20 minutes, then wipe gently | No exact matched live ProtoClinical PDP; no CTA | Niacinamide/TXA serum, vitamin C, acids and other brightening treatments |
Catalog reconciliation: ProtoClinical also carries Birch Moisture Boosting Pad and a legacy Vitamin C+Niacin Tone Up Blemish Pad. They remain active and stocked, but a current official Anua page was not located for the Birch SKU and the legacy brightening SKU does not match Anua’s current Niacinamide 5 TXA Brightening Pad. Neither is used as a recommendation until exact package and formula equivalence are confirmed.
Heartleaf Clear: choose it for controlled surface refinement
The Heartleaf 77 Clear Pad is the strongest fit when the purchase decision is about a pore-focused pad rather than a neutral hydration layer. Anua identifies 77% Heartleaf Water, PHA and Centella components and describes a 7 cm pad with embossed and smooth sides.
Use light pressure and count the product as exfoliation. A routine already using an acid toner, retinoid or exfoliating cleanser should begin conservatively rather than following a daily schedule by default.

PDRN Glow: choose it for a brief moisture-mask format
The PDRN 100 Hyaluronic Acid Glow Pad is a hydration-first option with two application surfaces. Anua directs users to apply the gel side for five minutes and then use the plain side to wipe along the skin texture.
Its role is topical hydration and cosmetic glow. The product name does not support injectable, wound-healing or procedure-equivalent claims. It can replace a liquid toner when the short mask already supplies the desired early hydration step.

8 HA Catechin: choose it for cooling hydration
The 8 Hyaluronic Acid Catechin Calming Pad is the most direct option when the desired experience is a cooling, essence-rich mini mask rather than exfoliation. The official directions allow 10–20 minutes on selected areas before a gentle wipe.
A hydrating pad is still optional. A simple liquid toner or serum may deliver the same routine function with less packaging and no wiping friction.

Brightening Pad: compare the current official SKU, not a legacy name
Anua’s current official brightening option is the Niacinamide 5 TXA Brightening Pad. It is positioned for targeted placement around areas of uneven-looking tone and for a 10–20 minute mini-mask method. The official page’s promotional copy references niacinamide, TXA and PHA, while the ingredient list displayed on the same page does not visibly identify tranexamic acid or a conventional PHA. This guide records that inconsistency instead of inventing a concentration or formula equivalence.
Because ProtoClinical does not currently have an exact matching PDP for this official SKU, no price, stock figure or purchase link is provided. The live legacy Vitamin C+Niacin pad remains outside the commercial shortlist until its package and INCI are reconciled.
How often should you use an Anua toner pad?
There is no universal schedule. Follow the exact product directions as a ceiling, then adjust for wiping pressure, contact time and the other actives in the routine.
- Use the pad after cleansing and before serum or moisturizer.
- Use one controlled pass; do not scrub.
- Skip a separate toner when the pad already performs the desired prep step.
- Reduce pore-focused or brightening pad frequency when acids or retinoids are also present.
- Stop and simplify if tightness, persistent stinging, flaking or reduced product tolerance develops.

Frequently asked questions
Do Anua toner pads replace toner?
They can. A toner pad already occupies the early leave-on step after cleansing, so a liquid toner is optional unless it has a clearly different purpose.
Are all Anua toner pads exfoliating?
No. Heartleaf 77 Clear Pad has an exfoliating-oriented role, while PDRN Glow and 8 HA Catechin are primarily hydration and mini-mask formats.
Can I use an Anua toner pad every day?
Some official directions allow daily use, but daily use is not required. Adjust frequency to the exact pad, friction and the rest of the active routine.
Should I wipe or use the pad as a mask?
Follow the directions for the exact product. PDRN Glow uses a five-minute gel-side mask, while 8 HA Catechin and the current brightening pad use a 10–20 minute targeted mask before wiping.
Which Anua pad is best for dehydration?
PDRN Glow suits a five-minute glow-focused mask, while 8 HA Catechin suits a longer cooling mini-mask. Choose one based on preferred contact time and texture.
