Choose BHA by the job the routine needs. A cleanser is useful when exfoliation should remain inside cleansing. A toner or pad makes more sense when you want a separate leave-on step. A mask provides occasional use, while a body cleanser is designed for areas such as the back, chest, arms, or legs. The right comparison begins with the area and format, not with a promise to erase pores or prevent every breakout.
Next, review the products already in use. Exfoliating toners, peeling pads, acid serums, scrubs, retinoids, and multi-acid cleansers can overlap. Adding another BHA product may increase complexity without solving a new problem. Decide which existing step the new product will replace or complement before buying it.
Judge the shortlist by texture, application method, package size, supporting ingredients, and directions. A product that fits the routine consistently is more useful than a stronger-sounding formula that creates unnecessary stacking.
