Check active and application area
Read whether the formula contains acids, sulfur, or other active ingredients and whether it is intended for intact skin. Follow the manufacturer's amount, frequency, and placement guidance. Some formulas are meant to dry visibly and may be easier to use at night; other textures may fit under makeup. Do not infer finish from the ingredient alone. Avoid applying the product indiscriminately over a large area simply because several small spots are present. A tiny tube can be sensible for occasional local use, whereas a recurrent large-area concern may call for a different product class entirely. Compare volume to application area.
