Start with complexion or color
For complexion, compare the coverage description, finish, shade range, and application format. A liquid foundation and cushion may leave different impressions and require different tools. For color, think about where you apply it: a cream blush may be layered with fingers or a tool, while a powder has a different placement and touch-up routine. Eye and lip products add further decisions about pigment, shape, and removal. Buying by a defined role avoids duplicate finishes that look similar once applied. Shopping by role also makes the cart easier to edit. If two products fill the same base step, compare their finish and shade before adding both.
