Our Science
ProtoClinical is a multi-brand retailer, not a cosmetics manufacturer or clinical-testing laboratory. Each formula belongs to the brand that developed and sells it.
How we use product evidence
Our role is to organize product information so shoppers can compare formats, ingredient lists, textures, sizes, directions and routine positions. We distinguish between:
- information printed on the product or supplied by the brand;
- manufacturer testing or brand-specific claims;
- general ingredient research, which cannot prove that every finished product will perform in the same way;
- editorial guidance intended to explain choices rather than diagnose or treat a condition.
What we do not assume
We do not treat a trending ingredient, product name, package color or category label as proof of concentration, efficacy, certification or clinical performance. When a percentage, test result or certification is not confirmed for the exact product, it should not be presented as fact.
How to read a product page
- Confirm the brand, product name, size and format.
- Read the current ingredient list and package directions.
- Check whether the product is rinse-off, leave-on or time-defined.
- Compare the product with the steps already in your routine.
- Introduce one new product at a time when practical.
Cosmetics are not medical treatments. Product information on ProtoClinical is intended to support informed shopping and does not replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
