Verify the sunscreen claim
Check labeled SPF, filters when disclosed, application amount, and reapplication instructions for the version you are purchasing. Some products blend sunscreen and makeup language, so the category name alone cannot confirm protection. Do not infer that a tone-up base or primer substitutes for a separately labeled sunscreen. If you plan long outdoor exposure, follow the label and other sun-protection measures. Shade availability and protection labeling can vary by market and product version. A tinted product that changes shade noticeably as you build the labeled amount may be less convenient than an untinted SPF layered with a separate base. Judge the actual routine.
